Spurs have allowed Crewe to talk to Lee Barnard after Spurs contacted the Railwaymen about the player's availability. It now seems up to the player and the club will try and convince him that a move to Gresty Road is a good move.Crewe could find some late competition from Millwall who have also been linked with the Romford born player.
23-year-old Barnard has been linked all summer with a move to Crewe but Spurs wanted the player to complete pre-season, which for Barnard has been fruitful. In the past Barnard has had loan spells at Exeter, Stevenage, Leyton Orient and Northampton.
