Crewe boss Dario Gradi will be looking at non-league talent tonight in Ireland as he and Neil Baker look to add defenders to a depleated squad.
Former Chester City left back Sean Newton who is not at AFC Telford has caught the eye and is one option to fill that posistion which is vacant.
The 21-year old Liverpool born defender made his debut for Chester City in 2007 after coming thorough the clubs youth system and during his time at the Deva was loaned out to Southport and Droylesdon.
Last season he joined AFC Telford and made 31 apperances for the Shropshire club but they just missed out promotion to the Blue Square Premiership losing in the Play-off final to Gateshead.
Crewe will also be looking at Alfreton Town defender Kyle McFadzean who was a memeber of Sheffield United's academy.
He joined the Conference North side back in 2007 and his displays earned him a call up to the England C team in September 2009. Only last weekend 23-year old McFadzen penned a two-year deal with Alfreton Town who was also named player of the season.
Another player that the Alex will be looking at is AFC Wimbledon's Steven Gregory.
23-year-old Gregory made 36 appearances for AFC Wimbledon who ply their trade in the Blue Square Premiership.
