DG told Crewealex.net: "I have already told him that we can't afford to carry two senior goalkeepers next season.
"So yesterday I told him that Barnet were interested in him. Rather than say to him in June 'thanks for everything and goodbye' he now has a chance to put himself in the shop window."
It, strangely, comes just 2 days after Dario told 1st choice keeper Clayton Ince that he may be replaced for the next match after letting in 6 soft goals at Ipswich. However, Dario is ready to give Ince a second chance but doesn't want him to think that he can't be replaced by 18 year old Tomlinson, who could become the new no.2.
"I would be quite happy to put Stuart (Tomlinson) in the side at a moments notice, although I might not want him playing in the first team for the next 3 months.
"If he keeps going he has a chance and he is playing well at the moment. But he is not a big dominating 18-year-old and to play in goal at that age in the First Division you need to be very special."
