Stockport County - Crewe Alexandra

After a week long break it's down the Road to our cheshire neighbours, Stockport County. Stockport, classed as our bogey team, though haven't had their week long break wih it being interuptted due to them playing Peterbrough at Edgley Park and ran out 2-1 winners with highly rated Luke Beckett on the end of both goals. Stockport lie 5 places and 5 points below the Alex in a lowly 10th place, but i suppose thats quite good when most people predicted them to go on a free fall down the football league after their abysmal season in Division One last year. Last time the teams met back in 2001 when the Alex won through a Stephen Foster toe poke from a corner, dispite having 20 other chances.

With the Alex having more or less the same squad that ran riot at Edgley Park last year, maybe a better one, Dario will be hoping three points will be with the Alex on Saturday night. With the likes of Clayton Ince and Steve Jones moving into the team and Walker coming through the ranks we should win this one - especially when Stockport are made up of nothing more than rejects from other teams. Saying that though, Dario believes it will be a tough test(He's said it again....) with many players playing for Stockport who he NEARLY signed - this is a sign these players are going to haunt us. However with pur form at the moment it will be hard for any team to get near us. A impressive win at home to QPR on Saturday saw Jonesey score two of his first Alex goals and keeping City till the death is nothing to be ashamed of and while Incey continues to add to his tally of eight clean sheets, we've got to be one of the favourites to grab something from this league.

Team news. After a illness which ruled him out of Saturdays match with QPR Sorvel will make a swift return in place of Ben Rix. Ade Bankole will be back on the bench after his ankle injuy wasn't anything serious. Stevie Jones will probabley keep his place in the side despite Dario threatening to drop him all week and apart from that - it'll be the same team! Ince, Wright, Walker, Sodje, Foster, Brammer, Lunt, Sorvel, Jones, Jack, Hulse.
