Former Alex shot stopper released.

Former Crewe Alex Keeper Clayton Ince had his contract paid off today along with former Reading defender Ady Williams and former Wrexham striker Andy Morrell.
Ince who only joined last Summer on a free managed to play one league game, this being Coventry's defeat to Midland rivals Leicester City back in October. The shot stopper had been injured in pre-season and with Coventry signing Marton Fulop from Spurs in October it was always going to be a tall order for him to break into the Blues line-up.

Ince who is 34 year-old and stands at 6ft 3inches would be more than welcome back at Crewe. Although the chances of that do seem remote after Ince had received criticism from Dario about not being able to save long-range shots.

Crewe have Ben Williams who is yet to pen a new deal and this after he had suffered illness and young rookie Stuart Tomlinson looks set to have a stint out on loan next season to gain more match experience. So as you can see the Railwaymen are not exactly blessed with keepers although the Alex have been linked with Mark Goodlad at local rivals Port Vale who himself is available on a free transfer.
