Former Alex Defender Appointed Vics Manager

Steve Davis was one of Dario's first ever signing's at Crewe in August 1983. Signed from Stoke youths he went on to make 140 appearances for the alex, only scoring one goal in his 4 years at the Alex. He was sold to Burnley in 1987 for £15,000 where he made 150 appearances , totally 11 goals. In 1991 he moved to Barnsley for £180,000 where he stayed for 7 years. In the past 5 years Davis has seen York, Oxford, Macclesfield and now Northwich Victoria.

After former Vic's boss Jimmy Quinn was made Shrewsbury manager last month Steve Davis has filled the vacant role at Northwich. Davis said he hopes to improve on the clubs position from last season, which was 14th.
