Johnson left the Alex when he was 16-years-old and joined Manchester United's academy but the player soon returned back in 2005-2006 season when he joined on a seasons loan.
His contract at the Premiership giants then expired and the player looked to sign for the Railwaymen when he changed his mind and signed for Bradford City.
Johnson who opereated last season as a midfielder has now left the Bantams after his contract expired with the Yorkshire club.
