Ugarte was released from his two-year deal at Gresty Road after being dogged by injury last season and this after Crewe boss Dario Gradi spent most of summer 2005 trying to get his signature.
Even a loan spell with his previous club Wrexham last season only lasted 45 minutes before he sustained a knee injury.
It now seems that Ugarte is over the knee injury that blighted his career at Crewe and will now looks to improve his fitness at the Racecourse.
