Speaking to Crewealex.net Elding said 'I have heard stories about Crewe being interested before today, and it is a place I have always wanted to come. For some reason or another it didn't happen before - but I'm over the moon that it has happened today.
'I am finally here, and now I am looking to get some goals and do well. It is a great club and a great chance for me to show everyone that I am capable of playing in League One.
'I'm not frightened of competition at all, I know all about Nicky, and Calvin. I've played against them both and they are both quality strikers and me being added to the side can only be a positive. It is a great opportunity for us all, and maybe play three up front who knows, it's an exciting time.'
Elding has kept in touch in recent weeks with Steve Holland after the player became surplus to requirements at Elland Road. The Railwaymen became the frontrunner even though Hartlepool Unitedm Carlisle United, Bradford City and former club Stockport County had all been linked in recent weeks.
