Down but not out!

Oldham failed the home hurdles while Bristol City were stumbling half way through. Crewe and Cardiff though stay commited as we enter the home straight. We've gone 2 points clear of Cardiff now but they play Peterborough tomorrow. When we played Posh we were caught out, they managed a 11 man defence till the 80th minute when they brought on a couple of strikers and played 3 up front - we lost 1-0. So till Cardiff beat the Posh we shouldn't take that we've fluffed 2nd place.

Bristol City are a good team and many predicted they would cause trouble, they're the koint top scorer - with us - in the league for heavens sake, do you really expect us to going and trounch them 3-0? We remain ssecond with two, what you could say, easy games coming up. Swindon and Barnsley, we fully expect to take 6 points - no beating around the bush here please.

Cardiff though have Peterborough tomorrow - could easily mess up and a draw would be nice, but i can see them taking a easy win. Colchester, while they caused us problems it probably is another 3 points. This would put them in our old place, 2nd and just 1 point advantage however - this is where the excitement starts.

We play Barnsley on the bank holiday Monday, hopefully a win. It would take us 2 points clear of Cardiff. Now Cardiff play on the Tuesday night against.... Bristol City. It's a tall order for them to go to Bristol and win. Bristol have the best home record in the league and showed us last night that their attacking is class and they aren't easy to break down. Along with that Bristol City and Cardiff are major rivals, always plays a part. I can see Cardiff slipping up badly.

Then comes the crunch. Could it all be settled on the Saturday?
We travel to QPR while Cardiff travel to Wigan. Wigan were promoted the minute we drew with Bristol. Wigan will probably have the title wrapped up buy then which leaves them to answer our calls to go on a break all division two records and get 102 points - it would mean they have to beat Cardiff. Wigan are obviously the best team in the league so lets be kind and give Cardiff a point. We can win at QPR, as they'll have a decent pitch and it will be a meaningful game.

This leaves my prediction on

2nd - Crewe - 90 pts
3rd - Cardiff - 86 pts

That leaves us 4 points ahead going into the final game. Guess what - we'll be up. Claiming Dario should go and we're not getting 2nd place is stupid, it's all there to play for. Im remaining optimistic, it's a time we should be behind the team and making them scrap for 3 points - stop all the whinging because we didn't outplay a good team.
