According to BBCi, Wimbledon Football Club have found a business consortium willing to pay for all necessary improvements and renovations needed so the National Hockey Stadium can meet Football League requirements. But it will only be ready by this October.
There was massive confusion as to where Crewe would play their first game of the new season following Wimbledon going into administration, but todays news almost totally confirms that we will be playing at Crystal Palace's Selhurst Park, if Eagles chief Simon Jordan allows them to.
The consortium, headed by Peter Winkelman has agreed to shell out for turnstiles, new stands and a new pitch in order for the move to be completed.
"We are delighted to have reached an agreement that will give Wimbledon Football Club the chance to play its home matches at the National Hockey Stadium until the stadium at Denbigh North is completed," said Winkleman.
Wimbledon plan to re-locate to a 28,000 all seater stadium in Denbigh in the future.
Chairman of the National Hockey Foundation, Brian Hinkles said: "The Board of the National Hockey Foundation have discussed the revised proposals for the football club to use the Stadium and we are happy that to allow this to happen.
"It will benefit not only Milton Keynes and Wimbledon Football Club now but will also ensure a healthy future for the Stadium and hockey in this country for many years to come," he added.
