Brentford 1-4 Middlesbrough
Brentford were well beaten by high flying Middlesbrough, who are crrently third in the Premiership. It was two goals in two minutes that got Middlesbrough going, on the 18th minute Marinelli opened the scoring with Whelan adding 2 minutes later. Then 30 minutes after half time they scored twice in 1 minute, on the 75th minute Wilson made it 3 for Boro and seconds later it was 4 when Downing scored for the reds. Brentford got one back in injury time through Sonko but it was too late by then.

Chesterfield 1-1 West Ham - 4-5 AP
Gutted Chesterfield
Chesterfield held West Ham to the death. thirteen minutes in and Defoe put the hammers ahead and while West Ham looked to be on their way to a win a 56th minute goal from Brandon made it go into extra time and then to penalties. West Ham won 4-5.

Sheff United 4-1 Wycombe
10 man Wycombe were well beaten by Sheff United. Boulding opened the scoring on his debut after only 15 minutes in, Brown made it two 3 minutes after half time. Four minutes from the end and Sheff United scored two in quick sucession, one from Montgomery on the 86th minute and another from Brown on the 87th saw Sheff United cruise to the 3rd round even if Wycome scored a goal somewhere in the match(We don't research this stuff well).

Stockport 1-2 Gillingham AET
Stockport suffered a blow after holding Gillingham till the 112th minute when Johnson scored for the Gilles. It was all going so well for the Hatters aswell as Daly put them ahead after just 12 minutes but after Onoura pulled it back to 1-1 13 minutes later it wasn't supposed to be for Palmers men.

Tottenham 1-0 Cardiff City
Cardiff were just outclassed at White Hart Lane for this cup as a 30 minute Sheringham goal sealed it for Hoddles men.
