Adebola scored forty-six goals for the Railwaymen between 1993 and 1998, before he moved to Birmingham City for around £1m. He was a key figure in the 1996-97 promotion winning side with a return of eighteen goals, and his fourteen goals the following season went a long way to the excellent 11th place finish in our first season in Division One.
With the likes of Andy Morrell, Julian Joachim, Patrick Suffo, former Crewe loanee Graham Barrett and Gary McSheffrey, Dele has found himself down the pecking order, and Black feels he will stand a better chance of regaining his confidence at another club:
"There are two or three clubs who have shown an interest including Notts. County, Burnley and Northampton Town so we’ll wait and see but I would hope that could be resolved in the next couple of days," said Black.
"Hopefully going out until the end of the season will spark that off again and that will give us a decision to make at the end of the season," he concluded.
