Crewe boss Dario Gradi faces a defensive headache for the trip to Bristol City this Saturday.
Crewe already have Billy Jones out after the want away star picked up a hamstring injury in the first half and was replaced at half time against Gillingham. Darren Moss added to Crewe's woes after he was told he might require surgery on a troublesome hernia. To make matters worse for the coaching staff, Welsh International David Vaughan returned to Reaseheath early after picking up a toe injury while preparing for Wales second match against Cyprus.
Paul Bignot is out on a months loan at Kidderminster and cannot be recalled, even if he was would he would be suspended for picking up his first red card of his career against Oxford United on Tuesday night.
So with only one recognised full back in John Otsemobor boss Gradi may have to shuffle the back four.
It seems that if Vaughan fails to over come his injury then Julien Baudet may play at left back with Daniel O'Donnell getting a recall to partner club captain Neil Cox in the centre of defence. Dario may also call upon one of Crewe's academy players either Cavell Coo or Christopher Flynn may find themselves in the squad this Saturday.
