Deano to miss Cardiff?

The Crewe number ten has been frustratingly sidelined throughout the pre-season with a hamstring pull and has been set a target of tomorrow evening's clash with Port Vale to make his much anticipated return.

However, last season's top scorer looks set to miss tomorrow's match due to his injury and is also looking doubtful for the first match of the season against Cardif City on August 7th.

Today Dario Gradi told our friends at the Official site:

"We are hoping that he can be involved against Port Vale on Friday. He has been struggling with a slight hamstring pull and that has prevented him from doing the work with our other fellow strikers."
