Striker Andy Bishop looks set to sign an improved contract at Gigg Lane and this after Bury had rejected enquiries from Crewe and Blackpool and slapped a £500k price on his head.

The player will now discuss with his agent former Stockport manager Andy Kilner and will hope to conclude by Wednesday.

Director of Football for Bury, Keith Alexander told www.burytimes.co.uk 'I have spoken to Andy and made him a very good offer, which he seems happy with,'

'He is happy at the club, and wants to stay here. Unless someone comes in with a massive offer now, we can look to the future with Andy in mind.'
