D-Day set for Jones tribunal.

A football league tribunal has now been set to establish how much money we will receive for Billy Jones.

The ongoing saga has rumbled on during the summer when Jones signed for Championship side Preston North End on Tuesday 12 June and signed a contract with the Lancashire club when his other one expired. 20-year-old Jones made his way through the academy and because he is under the age of 24 the Railwaymen are entitled to a fee.

Preston are believed to have offered £300k at first, that was rejected by the club as the board value Jones nearer to the £1m mark which includes appearance money.

It was believed that Preston offered £400k but the Railwaymen too rejected that.

With this it has led to a stalemate with the fee and now a tribunal will set that fee and hopefully in Crewe's favour, either way their will be a winner and a loser.
