Clayton Ince has been over shadowed since Ben Williams signed from Man United and after 2 years of owning the number one shirt at Crewe it seems Clayton Ince has lost it for the forseeable future. Currently on international duty with Trinidad & Tobago, Dario will ask the 31 year old if he's willing to stay at Crewe to fight Ben Williams for the number one shirt.
Dario told CreweAlex.net that he hopes Clayton will stay to fight for his place, as he claims it's the best goalkeeping line up he's had in his 21 years as Crewe manager; "With Ben now here I will not hesitate to say that these two are the best pairing I’ve ever had since I came to Crewe. I think it will be an interesting battle.
“I will see how Clayton is when he returns. We will have a chat about his future and see if he wants to challenge for the number one spot here or decide to move on. He has a year left on his contract and he usually raises his game when there is competition for places"
There could be doubts over whether Ince will stay, just three years ago Ince was on the verge of signing for Wrexham after two years at Crewe without a start to his name; until Incey won his place in the team away at Everton in 2002.
