Dario to set the Higgy wheels in motion

The 33 year old signed on 19th February and has played five games since his Crewe return. It's fair to say that Higgy is yet to 're-impress' the Alex faithful but Dario believes he needs a tad more time to adjust to 'what we want from him'.

Speaking to CreweAlex.net, the official site, Dario made it clear that it'd be a massive bonus if Leicesters Director of Football, Dave Bassett, allowed the Alex to keep Higgy: "I will talk to Dave Bassett and set the wheels in motion. I haven't asked Craig if he would like to stay yet but I certainly want him to.

"He had his best game for us on Saturday and I think he is getting better and better as he gets more used to what we want from him.

"Craig is also having a good influence around the place. He wants to listen, learn and contribute. He is also prepared to say his piece because he's certainly not frightened of me, in fact I don't think he ever has been!

"He gives us good balance with him and Kenny (Lunt) playing wide of the two goalscorers. We played some good stuff on Saturday against West Brom and Craig played a huge part in that.

"He hasn't changed our fortunes over night but I think he is very quick thinking and likely to make a goal and he will score goals because he has done that throughout his career."

With Leicester on a bit of a 'downer', to say the least, there's a good chance their manager Mickey Adams will want to take Hignett back and if that's the case then tomorrow nights game at West Ham will be his last in this current loan spell.
