Jamie Clarke was spotted October last year by Neil Baker and fellow scouts as he banged in an averge of a goal a game for Grantham Town. Clarke broke his leg shortly afterwards but was never forgotten.

Clarke has spent the last 6 months training at the Alex to get back to full fitness, training at reaseheath up to 4 days a week. The striker, who's got alot of pace, is set to have talks with Dario on Thursday - CreweAlex.com believe.

Bradford, Plymouth and Bristol City remain interested but after Jamie Clarke has built many links with the Alex and our reputation of helping non-league players like Shaun Smith, Steve Macauley, Colin Little and recently Steve Jones - we may be his first choice.
