Dario says no to a Smart move

Dario yesterday rejected a bid from Oxford to take Allan Smart onloan. Smart has come off the bench just 6 times since signing a year contract in August whilst not impressing in reserve games or training.

Oxford, who are top of the 3rd Division, offered to take the striker onloan but Dario refused. "We had an approach for Allan Smart, but he is injured and I wouldn't want him to leave at the moment anyway.

"It's the same kind of situation as Norwich wanting to keep Mark Rivers."

Oxford have since completed the loan of Carlisle's Richie Foran.
