The pitches at Reaseheath
Crewe already use astro turf pitches at Reaseheath training ground and academy dome. Dario reckons that with the recent improvements to astro turf that having it back in football would see a cut in the amount of games called off each winter.

Only a few weeks ago no more than 30 English games, from a full program, went ahead Dario says there is a solution and wouldn't think twice about installing a artificial pitch at the Alex...

"There is growing support within the game for installing artificial playing surfaces," Explained Darioooooo

"Fifa are supporting countries that find it difficult to grow grass and now Ajax have one at their new stadium.

"I think Aberdeen are considering one too.

"It does make economic sense and I could see Crewe playing on one in the future, maybe even during my time at the club.

"The product is now good enough and they are much better than when they were previously used in the 1980s."
