Hartlepool are the visitors for this Easter Saturday clash at Gresty Road with the Railwaymen looking to get back to winning ways and a much needed three points.
The two teams met over Christmas at Victoria Park where that day the Railwaymen ran rampant with a 4-1 win with goals coming from John Brayford, Nelson (OG), Luke Murphy and Shaun Miller.
The Railwaymen come into this vital clash without a win in five games and need points to push away from the relegation zone. Crewe's last home win was against Hereford at the begining of March when they won 2-1 with both goals coming from Billy Jones.
Hartlepool are in the same boat as Crewe but are two point clear from the Railwaymen but the Monkey Hangers have a poor away record and have only won once on their travels in since October.
Boss Gudjon Thordarson looks set to make one change with Billy Jones replacing Alan Sheehan who incidently brought to the club to cover for Billy Jones who was sent off against Leeds United last month.
Scott McManus looks set to make his home debut after putting in a sterling performance against Swindon Town last weekend. The former Curzon Ashton player looks set to be pushed up the field with GT looking for his pace to challange a weak Hartlepool defence.
Crewe Team :- Ruddy, Jones, Baudet, Broomes, Lawrence, Brayford, McManus, Sigurdarsson, Woodards, Zola and Donaldson.
Hartlepool boss Chris Turner must decide to risk leading goal scorer Joel Porter who picked up a groin strain in Pool's 4-2 win over Hereford last weekend.
Turner may opt to rest Porter for the clash against Scunthorpe United on Easter Monday instead.
So on time Crewe target Daniel Nardiello who is on loan from Blackpool may step in.
Probable Hartlepool Team:- Budtz, Collins, Nelson, Humphreys, Jones, Clark, Sweeney, Monkhouse, Parker, Nardiello.
