Crewe have only lost once in the last five seasons of the opening day fixture and that was a 2-1 defeat at home to Brighton.
Dagenham have had a good pre-season with four wins out of six as they look to improve on the the 8th position from last sesson. The Daggers started their second season with a bang with a 6-0 win over neighbours Chester City and would no doubt be looking for any sort of win over Crewe.
