Crewe V Colchester at The Alexandra Stadium - Match Preview

Clayton close to Crewe comebackMax Clayton could return to the Crewe squad for the first time since November when Colchester visit Gresty Road.Clayton has been out with an ankle problem but the teenage striker has slowly been building up his fitness for a return. It would be a timely comeback too given top scorer Chuks Aneke is in the middle of a three-match suspension.Abdul Osman (knee) is likely to remain sidelined along with defender Harry Davis (knee) and forward Ryan Colclough (stomach).Colchester manager Joe Dunne will select from an unchanged squad.Sanchez Watt (quad) will continue to play through the pain barrier but Dunne could opt to make changes elsewhere

Craig Eastmond had to make do with a place on the substitute's bench against Oldham on Friday on his return from a two-match suspension and he will hope to come into Dunne's thinking. The likes of Ryan Dickson, Clinton Morrison, Tosin Olufemi, Dominic Vose and Drey Wright are also options for the U's boss.Colchester and Crewe both go into the game level on 46 points - two points above the relegation zone
