The Guv'nor to arrive?
One of today's national newspapers suggests that Crewe are set to offer former England International Paul Ince a player-coach role.

38-year old Ince who has been without a club since he left Wolverhampton at the end of the summer. Ince has been offered a chance at Swindon Town but with a salary cap of 60% the Wiltshire club would easily go over that. So Dennis Wise may miss out on one of his close friends as he looks to take Swindon up at the first attempt.

Ilford born Ince has had an excellent career as a dynamic midfielder playing for a host of top clubs. These included West Has where he started his career then he went off to Manchester United in a £1m deal after that Ince spent a season in Italy playing in Seria A for Inter. He then came back to the Premiership after the spell in Italy where he joined Liverpool this proved to be a fruitful spell scoring 14 goals in 65 appearances next stop was Middlesborough and then to his last club Wolves. Ince was in the frame for the manager's post at Molineux when Glen Hoddle resigned but Mick Mcarthy sealed the manager's job and Ince decided to call time with the Championship club.
Ince also represented England and became the first black player to captain England when they played USA back in 1993 were they lost 2-0. Ince secured 53 caps for England over a eight year period scoring 2 goals both of them against San Marino.

So can Dario pull off a master stoke by signing Paul Ince, a move for him would be beneficial for the player as he looks to gain experience from coaching and also the player himself is still based in the Northwest.
