Crewe Alexandra FC has decided to appeal against Gary Robert's second half dismissal at Bristol City on Saturday.
The clubs coaching staff have looked at the video and have decided to appeal against the referee's decision to award Gary Roberts a red card for a tackle on Louis Carey.
The incident seemed to have been met with disbelief from all quarters and even Carey who was involved in the incident even said that Roberts was unfortunate to be his marching orders.
The club hope that match referee Phil Crossley will review the match video and rescinde the red card.
It's not the first time that he has sent-off a Crewe player, only last season he sent off Steve Foster at Luton Town which turned the game on it's head as Crewe crashed 4-1 at Kenilworth Road.
