Crewe have made an emergency loan signing of Anthony McNamee from Premiership side Watford. 23-year-old McNamee burst onto the scene with Watford back in 2001/02 under the management of former Chelsea boss Gianluca Vialli. He made his professional debut against Coventry City back in March 2002. The former Academy player then had a loan spell back in 2003/2004 at then Conference side Barnet. It was not until 2005/2006 when he had a prolonged run in the first team making 38 apperances with 12 of them coming off the bench scoring one goal in the process although he did contribute to a fair amount of assists.
This season McNamee has only made seven appearnaces in the Premiership with four of them starting from the off. His last appearance for the Hornets was Watfords's 3-0 home defeat to Everton when he came on in the 78th minute.
The fast left sided winger has represented England at U-18 and U19, will take the number 7 shirt that was vacated by Tony Grant and will train with the first team tomorrow at Reaseheath.

The terms of the loan move means that Watford will be unable to recall the midfielder who is now looking forward to regular football with the Railwaymen.
