Lunt who is out of favour at Hillsborough is avaliable for loan but Crewe's managment team have decided for now to put this option on the back burner.
The Railwaymen know of Lunt's attributes and what he can offer the club but with the midfield being bolstered during the summer with Steven Schumacher and Eugen Bopp joining the management team will look to their own players before deciding any move for Lunt.
Neil Baker told www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk "We have discussed Kenny, and if it wasn't for the midfield boys we've got here we might be tempted to do something,"
"Kenny is a good player, we know that, but we have got to balance that with what we've already got."
27-year-old Lunt is also attracting a few clubs with fellow League One teams Walsall watching things very closely.
