Vaughan went under the knife today in an attempt to cure his knee problem which was first thought to be cartilage damage but after tests it's just a small strain but the specialist told him to get it operated on as soon as possible. Vaughan won't be back to first team action for 2 or 3 weeks.


Dario travelled down to Plymouth earlier today to take a look at two of our rivals for the top spot, Plymouth Argyle and Cardiff City. Crewe play Cardiff this coming saturday and Plymouth later on in October.

Dean Ashton cofirmed he will play for England U20s and will miss the trip to Mansfield in the LDV Vans Trophy.
