Crewe miss out on two signings.

With the deal to bring Damien Spencer to Crewe collapsing the Railwaymen have been dealt with a double blow as they look to strengthen ahead of the Leeds United game.

Crewe Coach Steve Holland enquired about Leicester player Max Gradel who ran riot when he played for Bournemouth earlier on in the season against Crewe netting twice and receiving a standing ovation.
With the enquiry the Ivory Coast winger player decided to rejoin Bournemouth who had cut his loan spell short due to the death of his mother back in October. The player has shown loyalty to Kevin Bond and has decded to sign until the end of the season.

Meanwhile the Railwaymen failed in a attempt to sign Derby County winger Lee Holmes who was linked earlier in the season but picked up an injury.
Instead Holmes has decided to plump for high flying Walsall who also beat Tranmere Rovers and Millwall for the 20-year-old.
