Crewe in talks with Williams

Awsesome, outstanding, breath taking, saves, kept us up and so on - the usual when you write a article about Ben Williams - the keeper to come on loan from Man Utd and keep us up. Now the 21 year old could become Crewe's number one keeper if he agrees a contract with the club.

Ben has been released from Man Utd and won't require compensation (Like they need it), so Dario has stepped in quickly to make Ben a Crewe Alexandra player. Williams is in discussions with Dario and chairman John Bowler for a 'open contract' where Ben can choose the length of it.

Dario insists that it is still the best offer available, he told CreweAlex.net:

“We have made Ben the best offer we can and his representatives are in talks with the chairman, so we will see how that works out.

“We have told him that it is in an open ended offer – so it can be for two years, three years or four years. We will offer him whatever suits him best because we want him to come here.

“If he comes here, he will start the season as the number one because he finished the season very strongly for us.”
