Maynard only left the Railwaymen last month in a deal worth £2.25m and now looks set for a swift return to Crewe albeit in a Bristol City shirt.
The game looks set to take place on Tuesday 26th August and would no doubt have a bigger crowd.

It's strange because cup competitions often bring up these sorts of stories and Nicky's return to Crewe is certainly the headline in this tie.
