Well tonight saw three Crewe players representing their country tonight just 48 hours before we play Sheffield United at Bramhall Lane.
Steve Jones came on in the 46 minute for Northern Ireland against Estonia replacing Hibs striker and only scorer in the match, Ivan Sproule.
Jones almost made an impact in the 55th minute when he scooped a shot over the bar from close range, with that chance he could have doubled Northern Ireland's lead.
Welsh Wizzard David Vaughan failed to make the squad tonight at the Millennium Stadium which means he will be fresh for selection for Friday after his lengthy layoff with a dead leg.
In the other match to involve a Crewe player, Madjid Bougherra's Algeria drew 0-0 against Bukina Faso which the match was played in France.
All being well Vaughan and Bougherra will join up with squad for tomorrow with Jones joining on Friday after he could only get a lunchtime flight from Belfast.
