Fuller refusing to go anywhere
Fuller was sent off 34 minutes into last nights clash after the linesman spotted a elbow on Richard Walker. After being shown red by the referee Ricardo Fuller refused to leave the pitch and Craig Brown is defending him...

“I suppose technically it was a sending off because he retaliated and there will be no grounds for appeal.

“But he had been elbowed twice — I saw it myself. That wasn’t spotted by the officials.

“He was wrong and I am sure he knows it but he is a very honest player and is very upset at the injustice.

“He wanted to know why he had to go off and the aggressor stayed on.”

Dario Gradi meanwhile says he has no sympathy for Preston after they failed to keep their discipline, claiming Ricardo Fuller hasn't got any discipline and has a serious problem. Dario praised Crewe players for keeping theirs after two situations in two games that could have seen Crewe players react...

"That's what's good about having home grown players. I don't have any problems with players and their discipline. Justin (Cochrane) did at the start but he's sorted it now but if he didn't then he would have had to go.

"Their lad didn't have any discipline."

and on the match....

"They could have changed it after their man got sent off but they didn't. They kept it at 4-4-1 and that left us with exactly the same job just that we only had one forward to deal with and I don't think he got a touch after that.

"I don't think Preston ran past our midfield"
