Cooper who was born on the Isle of Wight had been offered a contract at the troubled Bournemouth but it seems that Crewe have met the players demands and that he looks set to sign a two-year-deal.
The midfielder who can also play in defence made over 100 appearances for the Dean Court club after he signed from Portsmouth back in 2005.
