Confusion... Pure Confusion

On Monday Huddersfield and their manager 'confirmed' they had agreed a two year deal with Alex defender Efe Sodje. Today, Tuesday, Dario has said that it isn't true and as far as he knows Sodje remains a Crewe player. Sodje was told he could leave on a few if he wanted at the start of the month and has had talks with the likes of Hibs and FC Tokyo - both led nowhere.

Also on Monday Shrewsbury Town released a statement saying Crewe had bid for their star striker Luke Rodgers but Shrewsbury did not think the offer was right and rejected it the same day. Today Dario said that although they've been watching the 21 year old they haven't submitted a bid. Rodgers scored 20 goals for the conference team last season - when they finished bottom on division 3. He received good press nationwide after Shrewsburys win over Everton in the FA Cup and Shrewsbury fans say he's premiership class - ofcourse we take their opinion is unbiased.

Manger of Shrewsbury Jimmy Quinn talked on the Radio about the bid which was rejected - So goodness knows how Crewe can dismiss these reports.

Rodgers is thought to be avaliable at anything around/over £500k.
