Collins and Walton ready to resume training

Wayne Collins has reacted well to treatment on his injured hamstring and is ready to resume training report the clubs physios and fitness coach Andy Franks.
Collins who sustained the problem in the pre-season game at Rushden will not be rushed back into action as he suffered a setback to the injury when returning to training at the start of the season. Collins has failed to establish himself in the Crewe side after his bosman move from Fulham last summer. The experienced midfielder has suffered with various injuries and his return to fitness will boost our inexperienced squad, whilst aiding youngsteres such as Lee Bell and Kenny Lunt.

Meanwhile, the clubs record signing, Dave Walton has began light training and will be available for selection within the next two weeks. Much like Collins' Crewe career, Walton has been plagued with injuries and a fully fit Walton will provide a selection headache for Dario with Sodje, Walker, Foster and McCready all competing for the two centre back places. Walton missed the majority of the opening half of last season and will be aiming to justify his title of the clubs most expensive player in a division he has yet to play in for the club, although he has experienced lower league football with Shrewbury prior to his move to Crewe.
