Cramb came to Crewe for a staggering £250k and on his debut impressed the Alex faithful with a few tricks and a goal. However things didn't stay rosey when suddenly Dario dropped him for a few games, rumours started about his drinking, financial problems and betting habits in and around Crewe. Then it was reveaked Colin had hit a youngster and thats when Dario started action. He was suspended from the club for 2 weeks and then sent on loan to Notts County where he only appeared twice. Then to Bury where he was loved by the fans and got minor celebrity in the area after throwing his shirt in the crowd in his last game. He was then released by Crewe and after Bury struggled to find cash to stay alive, never mind keep Cramb it was hunting time for Cramb and ended up joining then Premier Dutch team, Fortuna Stittard.

Speaking about that move Cramb said: "I enjoyed my time with Sittard and was their top scorer with 12 goals in 26 games in what is a higher level than the SPL.

"We were up against clubs of the standard of Ajax, PSV Eindhoven and Feyenoord and I was playing against international defenders every week.

"However, last season I suffered a knee injury with 13 games left and was unable to play. The team went into a slump and we got relegated, which meant they were looking to reduce their wage bill."

His move there wasn't rosey either nor how he makes it out to be. The Scotsman was chucked out of the first team after sticking his finger up at the crowd during a game after which Cramb said was a spur of the moment thing - sure it was. Then towards the end of the season he was told he was to be out till at least October and possibly not fully fit till January 2003 after suffering damaged knee ligiments.

Cramb contined... "My wife and I fancied returning to Scotland because of the kids and when I was able to come to an agreement over my contract, I came back home and Livingston have been kind enough to offer me training facilities.

"My fitness is good now and there are no problems with the knee. I've played a couple of Under-21 games for them and would love the chance to sign for a club that is clearly going places. But if it doesn't work out here, I am convinced I could do a job for any other team that is looking for a goalscorer.

"I am available without a transfer fee and ready to play right away. There are a few teams in the SPL who could do with a goalscorer and I believe I could do a job for any of them."
And there are a few teams who could do without a nut case.

While i bad mouth Cramb i was one of his fans and his goal Vs Blackburn a few seasons ago was magic. He certainly brightened up Crewe and was a skillful player at div 1/2 level but clearly had problems up there. He's clearly a disruption to any team and unless he's sorted out his problems he won't be with any team for long periods.

So is he telling the truth on this quote?: "I got into a couple of daft incidents when I was 18 or 19 at Falkirk and Hearts but most kids get into scrapes at that age.

"I've learned from them and settled down. If any manager has reservations about me they should contact any of my former bosses down south - I'm sure they'd agree I'm not any bother to have around a dressing room."
