Club Warns Supporters Over Tickets

Cliff Simpson, the stadium manager, spoke to the official site, CreweAlex.net, about the concerns of Stoke City fans getting into the home stands for the match on the 28th February.

The game is set to be a sell out as Stoke visit Gresty Road for the first time since 1997 when we beat them 2-0. Alex supporters have raised the issue of away fans getting into the home ends, after Vale and Man City fans have both tried to take over the Railtrack stand in recent times. The club have restricted the amount of tickets that someone can buy along with the customer number only sales, this means that it's highly unlikely that Stoke fans will get into the home ends unless a Crewe supporter buys them a ticket, or allows them to use their customer number.

Cliff Simpson warns any Alex fans who help Stoke fans get into the home ends will face a ban from the club: "The club is doing everything to ensure we arrangements in place where if people have got hold of tickets then they'll be moved to another place with Stoke fans, or ejected from the ground.

"You'll always get this problem, Wembley had the problem with their ticket system, the only trace you have of the ticket is of who's bought it. If a Crewe supporter has been found to have been buying tickets for Stoke supporters then they'll be dealt with by the club and they'll be banned."

Cliff Simpson went on to speak about any hooligan element at the club. He mentioned that 1 Crewe 'fan' was banned for 3 years after his involvement in England supporters hooliganism.
