Joel Grant is still ruled out with foot injury which was picked up in the Boxing Day draw against Rochdale. Grant could be fit for the trip to Hereford on Tuesday 19th January.
James Bailey is also ruled out, although the Macclesfield born midfielder hasjust rejoined training after being on the sidelines since November with an abdominal strain.
Patrick Ada still remains available for loan although the only team to show interest has been his previous club Histon who incidentally sacked their manager Steve Fallon on Thursday.
Local media reports that Crewe are keeping tabs on out of favour Swindon Town defender Hasney Aljofree who can leave the County Ground and move back to the North-West.
31-year-old Aljofree has not played a competitive game since December 2008 after sustaining a serious knee injury and has only recently returned to the game by making a few reserve outings for the Robins.
Aljofree has made over 250 league appearance during his 12-year-career including playing for Bolton, Dundee United, Plymouth Argyle, Sheff Wednesday (loan), Oldham Athletic (loan) and his present club Swindon Town.
