18-year-old Church looks set to miss out on the home game this Saturday against Northampton Town after his call up to the Welsh U-21's.

Since his arrival on loan from Reading the Railwaymen have yet to loose in the league and cup.

His place could be taken by a potential new loan signing or even by Shuan Miller who has impressed in reserves.

Church told Crewe Alexandra's official site "I am delighted to be involved with Wales but the games are rather untimely in terms of my club football.

"Crewe are on a bit of a roll and I think I am playing relatively well and I am thankful for the opportunity Crewe have given me to play in front of crowds and in competitive matches.

"I suppose it is just one of those things that happens and you have to get on with it."
