Chester City boss Mark Wright has expressed an interest in bringing Luke Rodgers to the Deva Stadium. Rodgers would be seen to bolster City's strike force who have only scored 8 times this season in 9 games.

24-year-old Rodgers signed on a free from Shrewsbury Town back in 2005 and has made 30 appearances scoring 7 times for the Railwaymen. This season he has made four apperances scoring in Crewe's 2-2 away draw with Scunthorpe. Since then he has found himself down the pecking order with Dario prefering Maynard, Varney and Jack to lead the line.

Chester City chairman Stephen Vaughan said "If Luke is available on a loan basis, then naturally we would be very interested".
