Cheer up Tony Pulis...

"We feel as though we've been mugged." Started Tony Pulis in his radio interview.

"It wasn't going to be our night from the own goal on wards. Lunt's second, it was their second shot on target and it was their final shot on target all night" Said Pulis, obviously arriving late and missing 4 other shots on target.

"We hit the woodwork three times, but I don't know what the corner count was or the possession count and the territory, like I say, the lads are bitterly disappointed because they've had a right go tonight." As Pulis struggled to come to terms with that it's the 'goal count' which counts and that was roughly CREWE 2-0 Stoke.

"I think we competed tonight, we had allota opportunities and allota chances and we didn't have the breaks, full stop. Akinbiyi's opportunity to make it 1-1 comes off him and hits the post, theirs comes off Marcus Hall and goes in the net. Sometimes you need that bit of luck."

Dario, meanwhile, knows the win wasn't down to luck and says it's about time we won. Speaking to CreweAlex.net.

"They may have hit the woodwork three times and we soaked up some pressure, but we had the better chances and Craig Hignett could have had three goals tonight. I would back him to score two out of those three chances any time.

"We had a bit of luck with the first goal but we haven't had much luck before and you do need that because we aren't quite good enough to steam roller sides.

"But this isn't a lucky win because we have worked so hard for it. We have kept them out at the back for starters and we have taken our chances which you must do in these games.

"I thought we played some good football. The keeper has done well again and David Vaughan has had another excellent game."
