Williams only arrived onloan from Manchester United at 5pm Friday evening and took to the pitch 22 hours later. He made a number of breath taking saves that kept the Alex in the game and despite ms-judging the ball as it rebounded off him for the goal, he was praised in all the papers and more recently by the new Wales international and Cardiff keeper, Martyn Margetson...

"I really felt for him because he was different class all afternoon. It was harsh on him because he made a lot of good saves,"

" I will phone Tony Cotton (Man Utd's goalkeeping coach) and tell him he has a very good prospect on his hands,"

" I hope he's not Welsh with a name like Williams, it would be more competition for me and I've got enough of that already!"

You didn't have a bad game either, Martyn.
