The 'Mem'
About the Ground
Crewe make their first away game of the season with a trip to Bristol Rovers and the Memorial Ground. Rovers moved to the Memorial Ground back in 1996 after spending some time out of the city and playing their games at Bath's Twerton Park. The club had hoped to play so many games at the Memorial Ground and then play at Cheltenham's Whaddon Road while the Memorial Ground was re-devolved. That has now been put on hold and will now start in May 2008.

Where to Drink
Right then for those who like a bevy The Victoria is recommended, this pub has a mixture of home and away supporters. Another pub recommended is The Annexe Inn in Nevil Road and is a ten-minute walk from the ground. Away fans should avoid the John Cabot pub, which is a staunch home pub.

Travel

By train

The nearest station is Filton Abbey Wood, which is about 20-25 minute walk away from the ground. The other option is Bristol Parkway which is a two mile walk or you could jump in a taxi or get the 73 & 74 buses.

By coach
The official coach leaves at 10 am cost £14 members + season ticket holders and £15 non-members.

By Car
Distance from Crewe to Bristol is 139 miles.
Leave the M5 at Junction 16 and join the A38(S) towards Bristol City centre. The Mem is around 5 miles down the A38 and it is signposted. For parking the streets around the ground is usually your best bet.

For the Away fan
The Crewe fans will be housed in the open terrace of the Mead Civil Engineering Stand, this is open to the elements although some seats are available in the XXXX South Stand. The food is what you expect with the Chicken Balti Pie on sale along with a nice selection available.
