Brammer to become a Clayhead?

Nothing would be worse for Alex fans than Brammer leaving for the 10 mile trip to clay land - Stoke City. The Alex captain was signed from Port Vale for £600,000 during the ITV Digital days when money was being freely splashed about all over the place, for Stoke them days have never ended and they insist of paying Premiership wages to turn their club into a retirement home for the likes of De Goey, Asaba and that other useless striker whose name escapes me (And Brammer this time next month, maybe?).

Whilst Bradford are facing liquidation we are facing something much worse, well nearly. Brammers contract is up this summer and his wages are from the ITV Digital days meaning only the stupid can afford them whilst we offer him a 30% wage drop.

The Devil is now at work, his agent is out to find who can offer him the best money - whilst Brammer sees what he is offered. His agent, Mr Mickey Walsh, has already been posting Brammer's name to several clubs and three are said to be very interested - Coventry City (In dept), Tranmere (In Div 2) and Stoke City (In dept). It makes you wonder why these clubs are trying to follow in the foot steps of Bradford City by spending money they don't and won't ever have.

Mickey Walsh has pound signs in his eyes, he knows Stoke and Coventry will result in much more money for him than Brammer signing for Crewe: "Dave is not ruling out Crewe altogether, but he is exercising his right as a Bosman," added Walsh.

"His injury problems are behind him and he finished the season strongly.

"He is not saying no to Crewe but he feels he is in a position where he can see what is on offer at other clubs."

So Mickey - I mean Dave is exercising his right as a Bosman as far as Coventry and Stoke but thankfully nothing seems certain: "I would think Dave would want to stay in the First Division. I have spoken to him and there has not really been a formal offer from Crewe.

"But I had a conversation with Dario before the season finished and he wants to keep Dave. He realises he can't pay him the contract he is on now and the discussion was left there.

"Since then there has been interest from Stoke and Coventry, although nothing concrete as yet."
