Brammer Injury Mystery Goes On

Team captain Dave Brammer is set to see a second specialist after a surgeon said he won't be needing a operation. Brammer has struggled with a groin and hernia problem since 2002, when he was sidelined for nearly 6 months.

Bram's injury flared up again in September and since Brammer has been out of action, despite 45 minutes against Derby which saw the injury worsen.

Dario wants to get to the bottom of the injury mystery that doesn't want to heal and after seeing a surgeon, who doesn't want to do a operation, Brammer will now go and see a specialist.

Dario Gradi told the club's official site, CreweAlex.net: “If the specialist tells us that Dave needs a prolonged rest then that is what he will have. If that is what is best for him in the long-term then we will do that. There is no problem with that. There is no pressure from us ‘saying we need you back’ and there is no time period set for a return.

“We are just looking for the right answer to the problem and we know that it is not a unique case, so we will continue on logical path. He will go and see the same surgeon who did his hernia operation and see where we go from there.”
