Bradford City away guide.

About the Ground
Crewe are on the travels again and look to avenge their 4-0 defeat in the FA Cup to Bradford and also the 3-0 home defeat back in August. The ground holds 25,000 and has a major overall since the mid 80's. The ground has two impressive stands that make the other two out of place but still it is a nice stadium overall.

Where to Drink
Nearest pub to the ground for away supporters is the Carlton Pub, which is situated behind the Kop Stand. The pub does allow away supporter in but the pub overall is basic. There are a couple of hotels with bars are near to the ground but for those who enjoy real ale then look no further than the 'Corn Dolly' which is situated on Bolton Road. Another real ale pub is in the town centre and boasts a fine array of real ales; The Fighting Cock is situated in Preston Street.

Travel

By train

The railway station (Bradford Interchange) is a good walk from the ground some 25 minutes by foot. You can either get a taxi to the ground for a few quid or the local bus; with the bus station next to the train station you have a choice of busses to catch (622, 623, 626 or 662). The train service is not the best and the journey will take you two and half hours taking in two changes. Trains dept Crewe at 8.31, 9.30, 10,30 and 11.30 and arrive at 11.03, 12.03, 13.03 and 14.04 respectively. Return journey and the first available train leaves at 17.30 and then at 18.00 with them arriving at 20.15 and 20.56 respectively.

By coach
The official coach leaves at 11am cost £9 members + season ticket holders and £10 non-members.

By Car
Distance from Crewe to Bradford is 77 miles.
Leave the M62 at Junction 26 and take the M606 for Bradford. At the end of the motorway, keep to the right hand lane and Valley Parade (Bradford & Bingley) is well sign posted. Street parking around the ground.

For the Away fan
Crewe supporters are usually housed in the TL Dallas Stand but for tomorrow Crewe supporters will be housed in the East Stand right in the corner. Crewe fans have been in this part of the stand before and if memory serves me right beer was served. Usual food at the ground in which the famous Chicken Balti pie is sold.
