Crewe's new midfielder Eugen Bopp looks set to join up with his new team mates next week and also undertake a medical that hopefully will conclude his move.

Bopp picked up the injury in Rotherhams 3-0 away defeat to Northampton Town back in February and as a consequence missed the rest of the season.

Bopp has spent the last few weeks receiving treatment on his ankle and has also been working on his fitness ahead of Crewe's pre-season training which starts on 4th July.

Crewe boss Dario Gradi told the official website "We just made contact with Eugen to see how he was going on and it is going fine. He has been working on his fitness and we expect his medical to be straight forward enough.

"We are looking forward to seeing him and he don't envisage any problems."
